Interview with the InDEED project

On May 27, BC2E member Felix Funk was interviewed by the InDeed project team about the system architecture of BC2E. InDeed, a project funded by the German Ministry of Economics and Energy, aims to identify, evaluate, and develop solutions for the use of  blockchain in the energy sector.

To this end, the team has proposed a system landscape framework, which simplifies visualizing architectures of energy related bockchain based concepts. The comprehensive model covers a large variety of use cases, also encapsulating those with a higher level of centralized authority. During the interview, BC2E’s focus on decentrality, anonymity and prosumer autonomy, especially in comparison with similar projects, became apparent, which is shown in BC2E’s version of the system landscape, which makes do without the use of centrally controlled servers and obscured processes.
